Recyclus to Recycle End-Of-Life Lithium-Ion Batteries for a Leading Online Retailer
e are pleased to announce that Recyclus will recycle end-of-life lithium-ion batteries for a leading online retailer as part of their ongoing maintenance programme.
The online retailer will send end-of-life Li-ion battery packs to our industrial scale Li-ion battery recycling facility for processing. This follows the successful recycling of several thousand end-of-life Li-ion batteries from the company.
Additionally, the retailer will leverage our proprietary LiBox solution for the safe storage and transportation of batteries. The LiBox is both UN-certified and ADR-compliant, meeting the highest global standards for the transport of hazardous materials.
By combining cutting-edge recycling technology with safe storage and logistics solutions, this program plays a vital role in mitigating the environmental risks associated with Li-ion battery disposal. Our cradle-to-cradle approach addresses the growing challenge of managing end-of-life batteries, a critical need as the world continues its transition towards electrification.
Robin Brundle, the Director of Recyclus, said:
“It is a pleasure to partner with a company that shares our dedication to delivering sustainable energy-related solutions. The materials recovered from this contract will support our mission to establish a cradle-to-cradle circular economy returning recovered critical battery metals back into the industrial supply chain. This agreement builds on the momentum of other recently announced partnerships, further solidifying Recyclus’ growing commercial traction.”
