Recyclus Operational Update
We are pleased to report continued advancements at our Wolverhampton Li-ion recycling facility- the first of its kind in the UK.
In July our facility has consistently operated at high capacity, exceeding production targets for the month, processing batteries from automotive, e-bike and waste management sectors.
Discharge & Dismantle Unit (DDU) Now Operational:
The new DDU at Wolverhampton is operational and has successfully processed the first automotive batteries. This positions Recyclus as the UK’s first full-service provider for collection-to-black mass separation. This unit enhances productivity and offers a comprehensive solution for automotive OEMs and industry partners.
Black Mass Offtake Partnership:
We have secured an offtake agreement with India’s largest battery recycler, LOHUM, strengthening our role as a key supplier of black mass. This partnership stems from our collaboration with the University of Birmingham.
Libox Deployment:
50 of our Libox units, designed for safe storage and transportation of end-of-life Li-ion batteries, are now deployed with commercial customers. We plan to scale up production to meet growing rental demand.
Robin Brundle, Co-Founder and Director of Recyclus commented:
“We are encouraged by the ongoing progress, particularly at our Wolverhampton facility. July has been the busiest for us commercially, where we have exceeded our battery throughput targets and continued to build traction across a number of sectors in the UK market. We look forward to further establishing Recyclus as the UK’s leading provider for the safe transportation, storage and recycling of lithium-ion batteries.”
