The LiBox Range

Our Industry-Leading Lithium-Ion Battery Storage and Transport Solution

As global demand for lithium-ion (Li-ion) batteries continues to rise, so do the risks associated with their storage and transportation. Fires caused by damaged or overheated lithium-ion batteries pose significant threats to human safety, property, and the environment. In response, Recyclus Group has developed the LiBox range, a market-leading solution engineered to mitigate these risks and establish new industry standards for safety and efficiency.

The LiBox range is a selection of proprietary, modular, steel-fabricated battery storage and transport boxes, built to the highest global safety standards. They are UN-certified and ADR-compliant, meeting Packing Group I and ADR P911 regulations for transporting hazardous goods. Rated for 20kWh of energy—the highest in the industry—the LiBox range products effectively contain and control thermal events up to 2,000°C, mitigating external damage and ensuring safe handling. Unlike conventional containment systems, our LiBoxes maintain external temperatures below 100°C, preventing flame propagation and projectile hazards.

By addressing the growing safety concerns surrounding lithium-ion battery transport and disposal, our LiBoxes play a crucial role in reducing fire risks in landfills, recycling facilities, and supply chains. They not only protect people and property but also minimise environmental damage, supporting the transition to safer and more sustainable battery management.

Recyclus Group’s IP-protected LiBox technology is advancing fire containment and waste management, offering businesses a proven, compliant, and industry-leading solution for lithium-ion battery handling.

Each LiBox is equipped with lithium battery fire protection pillows, which cushion and insulate battery cells while incorporating an environmentally friendly, non-combustible extinguishing agent.

These pillows absorb electrolyte leaks, suppress fires, and provide electrically non-conductive protection, making LiBoxes one of the most advanced safety solutions available. Their modular design allows for the replacement of damaged components, extending product lifespan and enhancing long-term value.
